Helena resides at home in Darlington with her daughter, the protagonist. She is the widowed wife of Christopher and has an estranged son who shares his father's name. As Mrs Norris mentions to the protagonist, Helena had other children who didn't survive childhood.
Helena also has a sister-in-law, Lady Rossington, but the two are not on good terms. At the beginning of the game, Helena writes a letter to her, which the protagonist delivers.
